Aiming to participate in upgrading the cargo industry in Egypt, CACC has planned to offer its former off-Airport Terminal to be leased to forwarding agents, for the purpose of promoting consolidation & deconsolidation as well as enhancing Ready-for-Carriage concept. Accordingly, forwarding agents would actively take part in the transport chain. CACC’s roller bed trucks would be shuttling between forwarding agents’ warehouses and Cairo Cargo City, transferring built-up ULDs to be forwarded on board their respective pre-booked flights in order to speed up the handling process at Cairo Cargo City.
Located 500 meters away from its dedicated apron gate, CACC’s Off-Airport Terminal extends over an area of 41,000 m² encompassing bonded warehouses with a total area of 9,600 m² that include cool rooms with the capacity of 3987 m³, freezer with the capacity of 226 m³ as well as 2 strong rooms with a total capacity of 40 m³.
Furthermore, the terminal encompasses administrative complexes containing 104 offices available for lease to Carriers & Freight-Forwarders.
CACC has succeeded to make this terminal the first off-airport terminal within Cairo International Airport through utilizing 3 roller bed bonded trucks shuttling between the main terminals and CACC’s dedicated apron gate; by means of a security process controlled by state police, customs and CACC’s qualified security personnel.
